No, we do not recommend or sell any financial products or instruments. We focus on general financial concepts, education, and business awareness. We do not receive commissions for the work we do.

What is a Fractional CFO and how is it different from a consultant or coach?+
A fractional CFO is a professional from outside your business who supports your business in a CFO capacity. A consultant is someone who looks at your business operations and performance, to recommend a plan of action. At Avansera we offer an integrated service combining fractional CFO with consultancy to support your business.
Who is this service best suited for?+
We work with business owners who are passionate about what they do and less passionate about the spreadsheet. If your expertise is in your business offering, but you recognise the importance of financial planning, we can help your business to bridge that gap.

Typically we work closely with our clients initially and decrease to semi-frequent follow-ups as required. We work with our clients as and when they need our services.

How is your offer different from generic training?+
Avansera offers two distinct programmes: employee financial wellness services and financial analysis training. Financial coaching has been proven to promote wellbeing and productivity at work. Our employee financial education offering differs from internal training because it can be accessed on an ongoing basis and is designed to support employers and employees alike. Financial analysis helps to bring commercial awareness to employees with a technical background and promotes collaboration across different departments.
Why should our organisation offer financial coaching as a benefit?+
Financial coaching is one of the most highly requested benefits from employees, yet is offered by only 20% of employers. Financial coaching as an employee benefit has been shown to increase workplace satisfaction, employee retention, and productivity and is often cheaper than offering employees a higher base salary.

Yes, we design our programmes with built-in flexibility. We have designed our standard programmes to be relevant and impactful, but if your business’s needs would benefit from a custom format we offer this option too.

We use a combination of qualitative and quantitative data to measure impact against our KPIs. These include but are not limited to testimonials, surveys, and quantitative data sets.

No, there is no minimum group size.
What does implementation look like from first call to programme launch?+
After our free discovery call we begin work by hosting initial group workshops at a time that works for you. Our one-to-one financial coaching then becomes available to your employees for them to book at their own convenience. Optionally, we will conduct an impact analysis against our KPIs one year after the first workshop.
How do you tailor content to our community’s culture and specific financial challenges?+
As well as having a culturally literate team, we build our programmes first by learning all about the communities we work with. When it comes to culture we are listeners first, because we believe that the best way to find out what a community needs is by listening directly to their voices.
Can you train our staff or volunteers so they can continue delivering financial education after the initial programme?+
Yes. We offer flexible options for programme delivery, including training for staff and volunteers if required.
How do you keep workshops engaging for people who lack confidence with numbers or feel shame around money?+
We understand how lack of confidence in mathematics and shame can be a barrier for many people trying to improve their relationship with money. Our courses are centred around building the financial skills that individuals use every day. We do not use abstract concepts, jargon, or unnecessary financial formulas. We are sensitive to the fact that money management is a challenge. We pride ourselves on simple, clear explanations and exercises that build confidence.

Yes, we love creating take-home materials that keep our participants engaged.

What does the process look like from first conversation to first community workshop?+
In order to create the most impact we design bespoke programmes tailored to the specific needs and challenges of each community we work with. All of our work begins with a free discovery call where you decide if we are the right fit. Once a client initiates our services we take a meeting to discuss goals in depth and get on the same page. We then design a tailored programme and present it to you. We take on board any feedback, modifying as needed until you are happy. Once we are ready to launch, we will train a team or bring our own to deliver.
